Readable on purpose.
These are the terms of sale and site use. They are written to be read, which means they are shorter than you expect and say the three things most companies bury up front, in section 3.
- Prices are printed on this site and identical at every dealer. VAT and duties are added where the shipping law says they must be, at the rates in force on the shipping date.
- Batches are the unit of sale. A reservation holds a place in line; it commits you to nothing until the batch opens and you confirm.
- You may cancel a confirmed batch order any time before it ships, and you may return any module within thirty days of delivery, used, with the certificate, for a full refund. Shipping back is on you; the refund has no restocking fee.
- Sold-out batches are sold out. We do not hold back inventory for "influencers" or reprint a sold-out certificate, and if we ever do, the changelog will say so.
- Used units resold by their owners carry the remaining warranty with the serial, per the warranty page.

The hardware, including schematics, PCB files, panel drawings, and the measurement rig configurations, is released under CERN-OHL-S v2. Build your own, modify ours, sell what you build, under the license's reciprocity terms. The firmware is licensed under the same license, and the full source history is public.
The name, the wordmark, and the copy on this site are not part of that license. Write your own marketing; ours is calibrated to our measurements and yours should be calibrated to yours.

SENTENCE 1
You own the module. It is yours to open, modify, resell, and abuse within the warranty's three exclusions, and nothing in these terms changes that.
SENTENCE 2
The governing law is the law of Germany for sales from Berlin and of the State of Michigan for sales from Detroit, whichever shipped your unit, and disputes go to the courts there after we have tried to fix the problem by email first.
SENTENCE 3
If any sentence of these terms fails in your jurisdiction, the rest stand, and the failed sentence is rewritten in public with the court's reasoning attached.
SENTENCE 4
Nothing in these terms asks you to waive a right your local law does not allow you to waive, and where local law is stronger than these terms, your local law wins without an argument from us.
